Combining rigorous assessment with creative design thinking to help clients navigate complex planning environments and deliver distinctive, well-integrated places.
Expertise
Strong practical design expertise underpins the development of landscape proposals that respond sensitively to landscape character, architectural form and heritage settings. This includes the design of access and circulation networks, inclusive environments, topography and green infrastructure. Experience of collaboration within multidisciplinary consultant teams enables the delivery of coordinated solutions that balance environmental, technical and placemaking objectives.
A particular strength lies in translating landscape analysis into landscape-led development strategies, ensuring that proposals are informed by the opportunities and constraints of their setting from the earliest stages of design.
Extensive experience has been gained in the preparation of Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA) and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) for planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), undertaken in accordance with industry best practice. Assessment is used not simply to evaluate change, but to inform design, identify landscape capacity and develop robust mitigation strategies.
This experience encompasses a wide range of sensitive coastal, rural, heritage and designated landscapes, including National Parks, National Landscapes and World Heritage Sites.
